19: CHOP FEST. The Atlanta Braves will host the team’s second annual Chop Fest on Saturday, Jan. 19 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at SunTrust Park and The Battery Atlanta. The event gives fans a preseason opportunity to greet and interact with their favorite players, coaches and alumni. The one-day event will feature an array of activities including question and answer sessions, baseball clinics, photos with players, interactive attractions, live entertainment and more. 23: CALLING ALL GARDENERS:  What better way to start the new year than with a new houseplant!  Come join Jonquil Garden Club on Tuesday, Jan. 23, at 10:30 a.m. at Smyrna Library for our colorful “Give One, Get One” house plant exchange where members and friends bring one or more plants and go home with a new plant delight or more.
