8-9: GIFTMART. The GiftMart handmade arts and crafts fair will once again return to Smyrna First United Methodist Church November 8-9, 2019, in the church’s Welcome Center. GiftMart is an annual handmade food, crafts and home goods festival. Items featured in previous years include hand-crafted baby items, children’s toys and dolls, Christmas décor, clothing such as scarves and crocheted items, homemade food products, hair accessories, home and kitchen décor, jewelry, original paintings and artwork, pottery, ornaments, and other home goods and holiday gift items. Showroom shopping hours are Friday, November 8, 9 a.m.-9 p.m., and Saturday, November 9, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.. Admission and parking are complimentary. 11: VETERANS DAY CEREMONY: Monday, November 11, at 11 a.m. On the 11th day of the 11th month at the hour of 11, please join our community in honoring the service of all United States military veterans who have served in times of war and conflict and in times of peace. Smyrna’s 2019 Veterans Day Ceremony will be at the 20th Century Veterans Memorial (2800 King Street, Smyrna 30080) across from Smyrna City Hall. Guest speaker: Lieutenant Colonel Will Cox, Deputy Commander – 78th Aviation Troop Command. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held inside at the Smyrna Community Center.
