In honor of the Black History Month centennial, the city of Smyrna invites guests to A Taste of Black History. Smyrna is celebrating with an unforgettable evening of food and fellowship. GALA TO SUPPORT SMYRNA PUBLIC SAFETY FOUNDATION
Tickets are now on sale for a dinner fundraiser benefiting Smyrna first responders through the Smyrna Public Safety Foundation. The Smyrna Hero Dinner Gala will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, at Boxwood Social Hall in Marietta. It will include dinner, drinks, dancing, live music and a silent auction.
The occasion marks the start of the Smyrna Public Safety Foundation’s packed 2026 calendar of events, which includes a golf tournament in April, Jazz Under the Gazebo in November, and the Shop with a Hero shopping event in December to help local children enjoy the holidays.
Tickets are $100. Tables for eight are available for $800; sponsorships are also available. Popular local restaurants, including Atkins Park, Zucca Bar & Pizzeria, Good Kitchen + Market, and Muss & Turner’s, will provide food for the event. United Distributors and StillFire Brewing will provide the beverage.
Acclaimed local singer-songwriter Michael Magno will provide the evening’s entertainment.

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS VISITED STATE CAPITOL
Students from Pebblebrook and South Cobb High Schools witnessed the legislative process during a visit to the Georgia State Capitol on Feb. 12. Mableton Mayor Michael Owens and State Rep. Terry Cummings hosted representatives from the schools’ Student Government Associations. Students were able to watch the House and Senate both conduct business, take a guided tour of the Capitol, and interact with lawmakers in an informative Q & A session. These visits inspire a lot of students to consider careers in government and public service.

NEIGHBORS REMOVE LITTER FROM QUEEN MILL ROAD
Queen Mill Neighbors, along with help from the City of Mableton Sustainability, Mableton Improvement Coalition, Leland Quest United Methodist Church, South Cobb Lions Club and the Friends of Mableton removed 20 bags of litter from their newly adopted two miles of Queen Mill Road and 5 bags of litter from Ivey Road. The cleanup went quickly as the group enjoyed each other’s company.

Designed for discerning food and wine enthusiasts, this VIP offering delivers an intimate, five-course, immersive dining journey where food, culture, lifestyle, and storytelling converge.
Unlike traditional tasting tents, The Chef’s Table Experience is a thoughtfully curated, sit-down culinary theater.
