Vinings Historic Preservation Society will once again salute “National Ice Cream Day” on Sunday, July 21 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Old Pavilion on Paces Mill Road.
Coldstone Creamery will continue their tradition of sponsoring the event by donating lots of delicious ice cream and toppings.
I am so pleased to continue Coldstone’s support of this very popular community event,” “said Blake Rogers, owner of Coldstone Creamery. “We look forward to a day of ice cream and family fun with all our Vinings neighbors,” said Blake, who will be on hand with his crew to dish up the tasty treats for all who attend.
Additionally, St. Angelo’s Pizza will contribute to the afternoon’s events with their renowned face painter who puts smiles and decorations on the faces of the little ones. We’ll have a display of vintage cars and the firemen from Vinings Fire Station Number Five will also be there with their fire engine, so bring your cameras. The Vinings Rotary will return to serve up freshly popped popcorn and Fidelity Bank will continue their tradition of passing out famous home baked cookies. Vinings resident, Dean Morris, will again bring his famous hot fudge sauce, made from his closely guarded recipe.
Come on out and bring your family and friends for a day of good old fashioned summer fun. Admission is free to VHPS members and children under 12. Admission for non-VHPS members over the age of 12 is $4. Please park across the street in the Piedmont Medical and Fidelity parking lot and Officer Joe will assist you and your family in crossing the street safely!
