The South Cobb Business Association will host a discussion on Active Shooters – What You Need to Know – at its Feb. 3 meeting.
Cobb County Police Department Precinct 2 Commander Captain Jeff Adcock will provide the presentation. Captain Adcock has been providing instruction in Active Shooter response as well as the management of Active Shooter responses to police officers and police mangers since 2002.
He served as the Incident Commander at the April 29, 2014 FedEx Active Shooter incident in Kennesaw Georgia and has provided a debrief of that incident to a number of metro Atlanta law enforcement agencies including the FBI, the Georgia Chapter of the FBI National Academy Associates, West Georgia Information Sharing Group, and the Georgia State Intelligence Network.
