Forest Hills Hosts Home, Garden Tour

The Forest Hills Preservation Group is happy to invite the community to the upcoming Forest Hills Home and Garden Tour on Sunday afternoon, May 4, from 1 to 4 p.m.

This tour, which began in 2003, has become a highlight of the season.  Several lovely older homes will be open this year, each one providing lots of ideas for renovation and design. There will be a refreshment stop as well.   From

“The Forest Hills Home Tour is not only a fundraiser for the Forest Hills Preservation Group,” said FHPG President Laura Lockwood. “It also serves as a means to show people the possibilities that exist within our own neighborhood.  While you might see a newly built home on our tour from time to time, I think our main goal is to showcase homes that will inspire homeowners to think beyond the common practice of tearing down these wonderful old houses that have such great character and charm and show them that through remodeling and restoration you can achieve a result that is current, appealing, and a wonderful place to call home.”

There will be a refreshment stop as well.  Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door and are on sale at Love Street Gardens and Gifts, Backyard Feed and Seed, and Village Green Flowers and Gifts.
