Smyrna Garden Tour Set May 14

The Keep Smyrna Beautiful Garden Tour will be May 14, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Are you thinking about what you might want to do with your yard this year? Want to learn the secrets of some of Smyrna’s best gardeners? Looking ahead for a great Mother’s Day gift? For only $10 ($15 the day of the event) you can tour six beautiful home gardens and the new Smyrna Community Garden, plus browse the plant sale and sample great food at the historic and beautiful Taylor-Brawner House Tea Room.

All gardens are within a short drive of each other, and three are adjoining neighbors who have worked together to maximize the beauty and privacy of their spaces. A map is provided with each ticket. Owners and trained volunteers will be on hand at each garden to guide you, answer your questions and share their resources.

These gardens have examples of how to cleverly solve a variety of gardening problems. Come out for a day of fun, food, and learning! Proceeds go to the Smyrna Community Garden and related projects.

Tickets are on sale at the Smyrna Community Center, the Smyrna Recycling Center, Backyard Feed and Seed, Love Street Gifts, the Honeybee, and the Wine Cellars. Call 770-431-2863 for more information.
